The Sunday Drive Meditation Collective (SDMC) concept was conceived in December 2023 by longtime friends, Michelle Carwyn and Janna Cross. Both share similar interests in the various topics and practices of meditation, mindfulness, wellness of mind/body/spirit, and L.O.A. (Laws of Attraction).
Knowing there was others in the Michiana area equally interested in such topics without a place to gather together regularly, they decided the create a solution. After finding support for the idea from LangLab South Bend (@langlab_sb), whom generously offered to become our location host, the SDMC 'Season One' began soon after on January 28th and completed on May 19, 2024.
Our first meeting discussing the SDMC concept in 2023.
The Sunday Drive Meditation Collective is committed to building individual and community peace by finding common ground and creating an environment in which everyone is seen, heard, known, and valued.
We have have all witnessed and been challenged by systemic discrimination and the suffering caused by biases, prejudices, privilege, and oppression based on race, sex, class, age, ethnicity, religion, national origin, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and any other background or identity.
While the tendency is to look outside of ourselves for answers, we strive to remember that the powerful solutions are always within, because healing is an internal journey. Our intention is to fully awaken our hearts and minds, not just for ourselves, but for all beings through the practices of mindfulness, meditation and, deliberate co-creation.
Through actions of loving kindness, compassion, generosity, and wisdom, we aspire to honor differences and celebrate uniqueness in recognition of our interconnectedness.
